UNDERPAINTING TECHNIQUES 

Lets get together and have some fun exploring different types of under paintings we can create for pastel! We will create pastel and alcohol wash underpaintings, textured ground underpaintings and brayer underpaintings. Brayers, pastel ground and board, and paint will be provided.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

• UART SANDED PAPER (Bring several pieces so you can have fun exploring color)
  
• 2" OR 3" CHEAP FLAT HOUSE PAINTING BRUSH
  
• PASTELS IN VARIETY OF COLORS,  (MEDIUM TO HARD, SUCH AS NU-PASTEL, REMBRANTS)
  
• ALL OTHER SUPPLIES WILL BE PROVIDED.
  

IF YOU ARE TAKING THE JEN EVENHUS WORKSHOP AND WOULD LIKE TO PREPARE YOUR PAPER FOR HER WORKSHOP PLEASE REFER TO YOUR SUPPLY LIST FOR PAPER GRITS AND SIZES.
